Fatal Road Crash Kills Middle Aged Man in Anambra
A fatal road accident in Onitsha, Anambra state has claimed life of a middle aged shuttle driver.
Tochukwu Onyejekwe, 26, was said to be driving a Prado Jeep with registration number UWN 227 PE along the Enugu/ Onitsha expressway by old defunct NITEL Onitsha when the Jeep lost control and rammed into the shuttle bus driver with registration number AWK 279 XJ knocking down the driver, Osita Ekpere, alongside three other shuttle busses before crashing into the drainage.
Spokesman of Anambra state Police command, SP Haruna Mohammed confirmed that Police operatives attached to CPS Onitsha quickly mobilised to the scene and rushed the victim to Toronto hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty.
Haruna informed that the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for postmortem Examination and obstruction cleared to enable free flow of traffic.
He said the Suspect has been arrested as the case is still under Investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
