The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has banned cash transactions and announced plans to increase tariffs across airports.

The move aims to modernize operations and shift toward a more balanced revenue model, as only 8% of FAAN’s income currently comes from non-aeronautical sources. FAAN assured stakeholders of early notice before implementing tariff changes.
