Excitement as Vacuum cleaning centre unveiled at UNIZIK

It was all joy in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka as an ultra modern Vacuum cleaning centre was officially opened for service in the institution.

The centre was part of the university management’s desire to establish locations that would serve for vacuum cleaning and relaxation spots for staff and students of the institution as well as the general public.

www.odogwublog.com reports that as expected, the opening ceremony which took place on Friday witnessed the presence of the university community including some Principal officers, investors , staff and students of the institution.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Vice- Chancellor (Administration), Prof Joseph Ikechebelu described the administration of Prof Charles Okechukwu Esimone FAS as one with human face and good intentions.

Prof Ikechebelu extolled the activities of Business Ventures and Consultancy Services Director, Dr Uche Ngenegbo, for thinking out of the box and transforming a bush to another center of attraction.

According to him, “people are now relaxing at the center and this is just the starting point in the school where people relax and take care of themselves .”

He said the centre is part of the project 200 of the Vice-Chancellor which is for progress of UNIZIK, stressing that the Vice -Chancellor welcomes and supports positive ideas that are aimed at lifting the university to an enviable standard.

Also speaking, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Uche Nwogwugwu, while thanking the management, commended the authority for opening the center for work.

The Professor of Economics noted the importance of the centre to the university community and said that “we shouldn’t be too serious always without easing tension.”

While Prof Nwogwugwu lamented lack of community life in the university which caused the absence of relaxation centres as everyone rushes home once it’s 4pm, commended the Unizik management led by the Vice-Chancellor for their open door policy which would assist the planned establishment of an official UNIZIK staff club to help the staff ease off stress accumulated while on duty.

www.odogwublog.com reports that earlier, the Director of UNIZIK Business ventures and Consultancy, Dr. Uche Ngenegbo stated that the feat was in line with the project 200 of the university ,Vice- Chancellor, Prof Charles Esimone, aimed at lifting the university to become one of the first 200 universities of the world.

Dr Ngenegbo also attributed the completion and success of the Vacuum centre to the support of the management, stating that the management had been the backbone of all his Directorate has achieved in the institution.

The Unizik Business Ventures and Consultancy Services Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Director further emphasized that the idea was made in such a way as to ensure each fits in, to make UNIZIK a community with all the life enablement.

The Director Open Spaces Unizik, Prof Mathew Onoh in a vote of thanks urged the university management to continue to support their son , the Director Business Ventures and Consultancy Services, Dr Uche Ngenegbo to do further exploits in the center.
