Ex-Lawmaker Lauds Soludo For Keeping Okpoko Promise

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has been praised for fulfilling his campaign promises in Okpoko and recent massive evacuation of wastes and drainage in 4 zones in Onitsha Anambra State.

Former member represented Ogbaru 1 constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Iduu Benson Nwawulu who made the assertion in Okpoko, Ogbaru LGA of Anambra State described Professor Soludo as a man who keeps to his words.

Hon. Nwawulu who participated in the massive and intensive wastes evacuation in Onitsha recalled that professor Soludo visited Okpoko Community as soon as he was swore in as he promised to Okpoko during his election campaign, saying that he came to Okpoko a day after his swore in and set up facts finding committees for the problems and challenges of Okpoko and environs.

The former president general of Okpoko who said he never made up his mind for the 2023 election continued saying that the committees submitted a comprehensive reports of their findings which he said includes Erosion menace, Sanitation and evacuation of wastes and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) collections.

He added that not up to weeks Governor Soludo’s visit to Okpoko,  he embarked on massive and intensive wastes evacuation in various zones in Onitsha, even as he  rained encomium to the Governor for his initiatives to choose indigenous people as his commissioners against insinuation of people that he would choose diasporal commissioners.

The mayor of Okpoko Community equally eulogized him for choosing Ogbaru LGA man, Mr. Paul Nwosu as the Commissioner for information, urging people to be praying for Professor Soludo so that he would continue to keep to his words and maintains it and Ndi Anambra would play their roles.
