EPL: Premier League Issues New orders to players and officials over fear of Coronavirus

The English Premier League has issued a new order and warning to players and officials under the league.

In a statement released on Thursday, the league places an indefinite ban on the known tradition of shaking hands before the start of games over fear of coronavirus.

“Coronavirus is spread via droplets from the nose and mouth and can be transmitted on to the hands and passed on via a handshake,” the statement read.

“On entering the field of play, the two teams will continue to line up, accompanied by the Premier League music, then players from the home team will walk past their opposition without shaking their hands.”
