EPL: Another premier league player contracts Covid-19

The Premier League has announced that another person has tested positive for the novel coronavirus after the latest phase of mass testing.

The English top-flight league confirmed this in a statement via its official website on Wednesday.

The statement read: “The Premier League can today confirm that on Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9, 1,213 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, one has tested positive.

“No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing.”
