Enterprise-driven NIPR, Our Priority – Dr. Ike Neliaku
The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku announces the Institute under his leadership is analyzing options to make the body enterprise-driven, a move he says would enable it to generate the required revenue to execute developmental projects and programs.
He made the statement Friday during a virtual interactive session with stakeholders organized by the Institute to mark 120 days of Dr. Neliaku as elected President of the NIPR.
The Institute’s boss explained that the bold step to establish NIPR energy, aviation, maritime, banking hubs, as well as insurance, pension and enterprise hubs were aimed at improving the economic base of the Institute.
“Introducing enterprise-driven model will translate into a viable Institute with financial capacities to handle its statutory obligations without compromising standards. This kind of initiative is what we need for sustainable growth and development”.
While expressing his gratitude to members and stakeholders on their roles towards significant progress recorded on creation of Public Relations cadre in civil service scheme, the President said the essence of the town hall meeting, titled NIPR Arena was in line with his transparency and accountability principles of leadership.
He said that the Institute has strategically designed series of projects and programmes to reclaim the reputation of the country, one of which is the maiden edition of the National Spokespersons Summit scheduled to hold in March, 2024.
