Encomium as E-klass Pharmaceutical Store and Medical Lab unveiled in Agulu

It was an outpouring of goodwill messages as E-klass Pharmaceutical Store and Medical Lab was, penultimate weekend, declared open to serve people of Agulu and its environs on Sunday.

The pharmaceutical store conspicuously sits at No. 1 Ezenyi street, near Afor Agulu, along the Awka- Ekwulobia road, Agulu, Anaocha local government area, Anambra State.

The event attracted dignitaries including friends, family and well wishers who could not help but express delight at the initiative of launching the gigantic health facility within the reach of rural dwellers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Managing Director E-klass Pharmacy and Medical Lab, Sir Eric-Kenny Maduagwu said the creation of the pharmaceutical and laboratory shop was to bridge the gap between the rural dwellers and quality medicine and health services.

He said: “My major reason for establishing the shop was to reduce the sufferings of men and women in the rural area who find it hard to have access to quality drugs and medical assistance due to their old age.”

Hon Maduagwu who doubles as the MD EV-Lifetime, a drug manufacturing firm at Nibo, expressed hope of spreading branch of the establishment across other parts of Agulu. He emphasized that the idea was borne out of the Anambra State government’s think home initiative and to save people from stress of long distance trek to obtain medical check-ups and other health assistance.

To contribute to the wellbeing of the people, he explained that the centre have started issuing free health services to rural men and women such as: tests on Blood Pressure, Sugar level, Blood Cholesterol, as well as weight management. He also emphasized that the exercise would be carried out every Tuesday and Thursday at the shop premises.

Earlier while declaring the shop open, President-General (PG) of Agulu community, Oliver Nwachukwu Afamefuna described the facility as first of its kind. He lauded the initiative of the founder, and noted that the shop would avail people of the area opportunity to buy quality drugs in times of sickness.

In a message of goodwill, member representing Aniocha 1 constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Ejiofor Ebele Leonard described the project as a welcome development in his constituency and lauded the founder for his think-home initiative.

He advised community members, especially youths to take up bold steps in establishing ventures of their own, noting that the state government had created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.

Similarly, an indigene of the community, Mr. Uche Austin Muodeke, expressed joy and hailed Hon Maduagwu for keying into the community development crusade. He said the new venture would save members of the community from untimely death and stress of moving far and wide to get health and and other household materials.

Reacting, after dedicating the centre into hands of God, Reverend Fr. Maximus Muojeke noted that the pharmacy is decorated with facilities that would ensure wellbeing of man. He also prayed for continued growth of the centre, such that, people would continue to derive increased satisfaction from its services.
