About 48 mysterious bags of rice have been discovered at Oyi Local Government Secretariat Nteje.
The bags of rice numbering forty eight weighed twenty five kilogramme each.
Briefing newsmen on the development, the Transition Committee chairman of Oyi Council Area Dr Nnamdi Nwadiogbu, said he was alerted about the development around some minutes past seven o’clock in the evening of Thursday when the bags of rice were delivered.
According to Mr. Nwadiogbu, he discovered after inquiries that the bags of rice were donated to Corps Members serving in the council area with a branded vehicle belonging to a female politician in the area.
He wondered why such gift which has never been witnessed before will be coming some hours to the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
