ECPE Inducts new Students, Emphasizes need for Meaningful Associations

The Department of Early Childhood and Primary Education (ECPE) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University held its induction and oath-taking ceremony for it’s first-year students today. The event was held at the university’s Multipurpose Hall (MPH) and featured various dignitaries and speakers.
Some of the dignitaries present include the President of the National Association of Early Childhood and Primary Education (NAECPE), student leaders, and well-wishers.
One of the speakers, Prof. J.O. Ejiomor, welcomed the students and advised them to develop skills during their time in school and prioritize their needs over wants to achieve greatness.
Another guest speaker at the event, Comrade Iruoma Ezeh, addressed ECPE students as “destiny carriers” and emphasized the importance of forming meaningful associations and relationships that ignite passion and purpose. She also stressed the need to build a strong relationship with God to overcome life’s challenges.
In her remarks, the ECPE President, Miss Mmesoma Okunna, advised the year one students to “grab every opportunity they see, life is more than what you learn in class.” She also encouraged them to be patient and understanding, whether as students, leaders, or individuals.
The President thanked everyone who attended the ceremony, which concluded with a satisfied applause from the audience.
