Ebonyi Probes Mining Pit Collapse, Denies Negligence Claims
Ebonyi State Government has launched an investigation into the Ihietutu mining pit collapse in Ivo LGA, which killed two and injured three.
Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Chidi Onyia, said preliminary findings suggest a natural occurrence, not negligence by Greenfield Metals Ltd. He assured that federal and state regulators are probing the incident, while the company has suspended operations.
