Easter Celebration: Nigeria Pillar of Sports Ejidike prays for Nigeria
Even as Nigerians and the entire world groan in the face of rampaging COVID-19, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P has prayed that the crucification of our Lord Jesus Christ and shedding of His precious blood cleanse our land and cure the people as we mark Easter.
Chief Ejidike in his Easter message prayed that may our Saviour’s scar be a guide for us and live a life according to His will which spiritually is for the atonement of our sins.
He called on the Federal Government of Nigeria not to play politics with the pandemic but to equally seek the face of God, particularly leaders at all levels from the President to the Governors and other political office holders to use this Easter period to pray fervently for spiritual healings as obtainable in the Bible.
The sports philanthropist was sober on the fact that we could not worship together this time around because of restrictions and social distance order owing to Corona virus outbreak, however, he sounded that we should know that Jesus Christ has died for us and one great lesson is that we should learn to give back by doing good deeds that glorifies His name!
Quoting from the Holy Bible, Ejidike sounded “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” – 1 Peter 1-3. “Christ’s resurrection offers a promise of renewed life.Go out and spread the good news for Christ has risen!
The Nigeria Pillar of Sports explained the true meaning of Easter which he listed:Love, hope and giving and enjoined everyone to exhibit in this trying period.
Ejidike admonished further: “Jesus Christ should live in our hearts.
Let us invite Him to reign in our lives.
Have a meaningful Easter! Open your heart and you will see God’s gift for you.
Clear your mind and you will understand the message of this special celebration.
Choose your deed so that you will see Christ in every person.”

and protect you from all the evil things that might disturb you.
