Don’t embark on another strike, it’s extremely harmful to Nigerians, Amb. Okoro appeals to NLC

The Director General of Importers Association of Nigeria Taskforce, IMAN, Amb. Chijioke Okoro John has pleaded with NLC and TUC not to embark on another nationwide strike because it’s harmful to Nigerians and the economy.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, he insisted on the need for further dialogue and negotiation to avert the looming nationwide strike “We know that things are very tough at the moment, the inflation rate is massive and Nigerians are languishing in intense financial excruciation but strike shouldn’t be the ultimate, NLC should give the government time for further dialogue, I believe that it will yield desired result “

He maintained that the last strike action caused serious damages and havoc in the entire nation “The last strike was absolute and it caused Nigerians severe pains, the National grid was switched off, do you know how many people lost their lives as a result of this?do you know how many homes that stayed in hunger because of the strike?, let’s be considerate with our actions, as I’m appealing to NLC and TUC not to embark on another strike”.
