According to the royal father, the bridge which has been under construction for more than 10 years, will not only solidify the peaceful co-existence between Opu-Nembe and Nembe City Kingdoms, but will help boost commercial activities.

He therefore, called on the governor to remain dedicated to completing unfinished people-oriented projects by past administrations as a demonstration of his “broad minded” brand of politics.

The paramount ruler also hailed Diri’s inclusive governance style, and urged him not to relent.

He also showered praises on Jonathan, whom he described as “evergreen Ex-President of Nigeria”.

He commended the former president for honouring him and Nembe kingdom, by paying him a visit before proceeding to the project site for commissioning.
