Dental Technologists Seek Stronger Partnership with Anambra Hospital Management Board
The Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria has called for stronger collaboration with the Anambra State Hospital Management Board (SHMB) to improve oral healthcare delivery and strengthen professional practice in the state.
The Board’s Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Idris Ahmad Bappah, made the call on Sept. 1 during a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Hospital Administrator, Dr. Frank Ifeanaeme, in his office.
Bappah highlighted key challenges facing dental technologists, including limited professional development opportunities, inadequate manpower and equipment, insufficient internship placements for graduates, and regulatory gaps.
He said addressing these issues through stronger institutional cooperation would enhance service delivery, professional development and access to quality oral healthcare.
Responding, Dr. Ifeanaeme welcomed the delegation, expressing the SHMB’s readiness to collaborate, stressing that teamwork among healthcare professionals remains essential to improving health outcomes, noting that good oral health is an important part of overall wellbeing.
Both parties expressed optimism that the partnership would strengthen dental technology practice and improve oral healthcare services for residents across Anambra.
