Dangote Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price for petrol from N880 to N840 per litre, prompting petroleum marketers to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to lower pump prices nationwide.

Confirming the development, IPMAN President Abubakar Maigandi said members will implement the new price once fresh supplies are loaded.

The move follows a recent drop in global crude oil prices amid easing tensions between Israel and Iran, with Brent falling to $67.81 per barrel. As of Monday, fuel prices ranged from N875 to N970 across major cities.
