COVID-19: Hon Obinna Emeneka visits Charzmax Pharmaceutical Industry for over N20M MoU
Preparations have reached execution stage for the production of drugs that would be used in the management of Covid -19 pandemic if it eventually increase in Anambra state.
The revelation was made by the Executive Director of Charzmax Pharmaceutical industry, shortly after he played host to the member representing Anambra East constituency, Mr Obinna Emeneka at the industry site located at ogidi in idemili North local government area.
The lawmaker was at the production site to ascertain the level of preparedness of the company to produce twenty million naira worth of drugs as enshrined in the MOU he signed on behalf of Right Health Pharmaceuticals .
Mr obinna Emeneka representing Anambra East Constituency in the State House of Assembly had recently signed a memorandum of understanding with a leading pharmaceutical industry with the aim of producing some of the drugs needed for the management of Covid -19 .
Mr Emeneka speaks on why he decided to embark on such venture.
” i decided to visit to come and inspect the readiness of this Company inline with the MOU of twenty million naira we signed with them for the production of drugs that would be used in managing Covid -19 in the case of any outbreak. it is also to support the efforts of our working governor, Chief Willie Obinao who is doing everything possible to remain on top the situation.”
The law maker also donated relief materials worth millions of naira to all the health centres and communities in his constituency.
The Executive Director of Charmzy Pharmaceuticals limited, Mr Chibueze Chike Said the company, which has a track record in drug manufacturing, was ready for the productions of the covid – 19 management drugs as all resources had been procured.
He commended the step taking by the law maker to ensure safety of his people and the state in general.
Mr Chike Noted that the company was willing to partner the Federal Government for the production of some of the drugs said to be used in managing Covid-
19 .
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Protocol Matters, Mrs Ngozi Agbasionwe who was in the law makers entourage , expressed her satisfaction with the quality of standard on ground at the company especially as regards to the production of the Covid – 19 drugs.
The law maker, Mr Obinna Emeneka had earlier signed an MOU with the company for the production of Chloroquine folsphat , Zinc and Azitromacin Worth twenty million naira In support of the efforts of Governor Willie Obiano in the fight against the dreaded pandemic.
