Covid-19: Anti-Privacy Society Distributes Over 20,000 Preventive Materials in Anambra

Following the outbreak of life- threatening coronavirus in the country, the Anti-Piracy Society of Nigeria (APSON), has distributed over twenty thousand (20,000) preventive materials to help curtail the spread of the virus in the state.

The APSON Director General, Frank Uduonu who announced this said the materials distributed include ten thousand nose masks, ten thousand hand sanitizers and five thousand hand gloves even as people were urged to be at alert and report any suspected case of the virus to the appropriate authorities.

The distribution of the preventive materials was carried out at markets in the state including Eke Awka, Amawbia round about, Nkwo Enugwu ukwu, Ezi Elias, Oye agu Abagana, Oye Olise, Afor igwe, ogidi round about and Afor nkpor, all in Anambra state.

APSON further said the free service was in consolidating efforts to eradicating the circulation of the dangerous and deadlier disease called ‘Coronavirus’, that have landed almost in front of the doors of Nigerians.


They said that the directives of the Anti-Piracy Society of Nigeria (APSON), has deemed it wise and helpful to distribute some preventive materials to the people of Anambra state in solidarity to curbing rapid spread of the virus, as they say ”prevention is better than cure”.

Continuing, the APSON Director General, Frank Uduonu advised the masses to ”spread courage and solidarity” instead of fear as fear kills faster than the disease. He further enjoined Nigerians to create more awareness of the coronavirus as well as aware of what needs to be done to minimise its spread.

 He maintained that the public must heed to the restrictions placed by government on traveling, and all forms of social gathering and events be it religious, political, burial, wedding and so on, as well as maintenance of social and personal hygiene by washing hands regularly, limitations on handshake, touching of eyes, nose, mouths.
He said that it is time to develop a contagion of courage, good health, and solidarity.

“Our positive mood will help protect your immune system, while negative thoughts have been shown to depress your immune system and make it weak against viruses.
 “Not enough has been said about the role of our mental condition in fighting the virus. Not only will we survive this pandemic, but we will be judged by how we survived it, by what we become afterwards. We will either be transformed by what we did or damaged by how we failed to live up to our potential for goodness.

” We are making ourselves all the time, but never so much as when we are faced with an existential crisis. Most importantly, firmly believe that this will pass and that the universe and a higher being called God is a universe of love and not punishment. 
Coronavirus bad omen or good omen only God knows. Let God take control but we must do our best to prevent ourselves of this catastrophic virus”, Uduonu concluded.
