An Ikeja Special Offences Court has set aside a bench warrant issued against Ahmed Kuru, the former Managing Director of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), following his failure to appear for his arraignment in an alleged N76 billion fraud case involving Arik Airline. Kuru’s appearance in court, along with his lawyer’s assurance to ensure his future attendance, led to the bench warrant’s cancellation. The case, involving multiple defendants, is set to continue on January 20, 2025.
