Court Allows DSS to Shield Witnesses in Owo Church Attack Trial

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the DSS request to conceal the identities of witnesses in the trial of five alleged Al-Shabab terrorists accused of the 2022 Owo church attack that killed over 40 worshippers.

Justice Emeka Nwite ruled the protection necessary to safeguard witnesses in the sensitive terrorism case. The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
