COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: ABIA STATE POLICE COMMAND STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION WITH THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS ABIA STATE CHAPTER
- In compliance with the directive of the IGP on strengthening community engagement, the Abia State Police Command, today, 12/05/2026, received delegates from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Abia State Chapter, led by the Chairperson, Onyinye Ralph Nwachukwu, fnipr.
- The purpose of the visit was to appreciate the efforts of the Command in its proactive measures towards ensuring peace and security in the State, its continuous accessibility to the public and its support to the Institute.
- The delegation also commended the sustained efforts of the Command in advancing effective and efficient communication, promoting police-community relations, peace, professionalism, and public trust and confidence. They further applauded the timely updates on security and Command activities issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, anipr, an associate member of the Institute.
- The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, warmly received the delegates and assured them of his continued support. He advised them to sustain the collaboration with the Police as partners in crime prevention by volunteering timely information to the Command “See Something, Say Something”. He further assured that with partnership, greater success would be achieved while fighting crime and criminality to guarantee peace and order in the state
