Cockroach lived for 4 months in my ears – says Anambra Commerce Perm. Sec.

The Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Mr Samuel Chinedu Ike, has testified that God delivered him from an ugly situation where cockroach lived in his ears for four months.

According to him, that may have led him going crazy if it entered his brain.

Mr. Ike, a lawyer, said “a team of medical doctors worked on my ears for the period of two months, before they succeeded in flushing it out.

“The life cockroach which had lived deep inside my ears for 4 months, was ready to climb to my brain, and that would have spelt doom.”

He explained this during a Thanksgiving Service in appreciation to God for his appointment as a Permanent Secretary.

The event was held at St James Anglican Church Iyi-Owa Odekpe on Dec 12.

In an interview after the church service, the outgoing Head of Service (HOS), Barr Harry Uduh, expressed his happiness for being present at the Thanksgiving Service of the Permanent Secretary.

He said “the Governor has done well to replenish the leadership of the Service which has depleted over time, on account of retirement, by appointing ten new Permanent Secretaries.

“There is not going to be any vacuum at all; but a smooth transition from one HOS to another HOS in Jan, and from one governor to another governor in March 17, 2022.

“I am satisfied that the service machinery of the State is intact”.

Exchanging views with newsmen, the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Rt Rev Dr Samuel Ezeofor expressed confidence in the next government to be led by Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The prelate prayed to God that Soludo would bring to bare all experiences and connections garnered both in academics and government as former Central Bank (CBN) Governor, to make a positive change in Anambra State.
