Many Nigerians have decried the the outrageous school fees charged by some mission schools, blaming it on the fuel subsidy removal. They argued that such abnormal charges defeated the good intentions of government in returning schols to the missions. “For the policy to have wider positive effects, mission schools that government handed back to churches should be inclusive as government uses tax payers’ money to pay teachers and staff of these schools. “The aim of government will be a wasted effort, if the mission and private schools were not called to order and given operational guidelines,” the CLO stated.
