CEO Petronella NIG. LTD Donates Project Vehicle To UNIZIK Faculty Of Engineering

Chairman and Chief Executive Petronella Nigeria Ltd, Chief Engr. Charles Tabansi on Monday, 16th May 2022 redeemed his promise to donate a project vehicle to the Faculty of Engineering, UNIZIK. Chief Tabansi had earlier made a promise to donate a project vehicle when he chaired the second lecture series of the Faculty with the theme: “Oil and Gas and the Economy of Anambra State”, held on Wednesday, 22nd September 2021 at the Needs Assessment Building of the Faculty.

While receiving and formally presenting the vehicle to UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, FAS at the Vice-Chancellor’s lodge, the Dean of the Faculty, Engr. Prof. Joseph Nwabanne stated that Chief Tabansi has fulfilled the promise he made to the Faculty as a way of assisting in the aspect of mobility that will aid Faculty’s administration, academics and research. Prof. Nwabanne said that the event was to officially present the vehicle to the Vice-Chancellor as appropriate for his blessings and seek his approval for use by the Faculty.

In his response, UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Esimone expressed gratitude to the Chairman/CEO of Petronella Nig. Ltd. for the kind gesture emphasizing that it is part of corporate social responsibility as ideally, Nnamdi Azikiwe University is a public institution that receives support from the government and to meet the infrastructural and overhead need, she seeks for support from kind spirited Nigerians and organization to support Education in the institution.

Prof. Esimone disclosed that he will communicate the Governing Council on the development for official commendation in appreciation of the kind gesture, The Vice-Chancellor also prayed God to invest in the vineyard of Petronella Nig. Ltd as they did for the institution.

Highpoints of the event was the official presentation of the vehicle and keys by an official of the firm to the Vice-Chancellor and hand over of the vehicle to the Faculty of Engineering. Also present during the occasion was the Chairman, Faculty of Engineering Lecture Series Committee, Engr. Prof. Chris Azubogu and Secretary of the Committee, Engr. Dr. Ugochukwu Okonkwo.
