Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has said that inability of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to perform as a development bank is part of the reasons Nigerians are suffering.

Obasanjo who made this known in Awka, Anambra State capital said CBN alongside the Federal government of Nigeria has failed in their promises to Nigerians.

The ex-president further gave accolades to Chukwuma for his impacts and innovative ideas during his time as CBN governor.

Recall that Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, during his one year anniversary in Awka exhibited great respect for Obasanjo who he identified as his boss and mentor and under whose tutelage he served for four years.
