Catholic archbishop of Onitsha assures prisoners of God interest in their situations

Archbishop Valeria Maduka Okeke the Catholic archbishop of Onitsha catholic archdiocese has assures prisoners in various correctional facilities all over the country and all poor,less privileged and down troden that God love them and is capable of changing their situations if they can trust and believe in him noting that God is the only person that have the final say in their situations and not man.
Giving this admonition to all inmates of Nigeria correctional services all over the country as well as other Nigerians in various difficult situations,Poor’s, commoners etc while preaching a sermon during the last Christmas church service he held for the inmates of Onitsha correctional service center to mark his this year regular
visit of the Onitsha correctional center on every Christmas day as part of his prison apostolate.
Archbishop Okeke while assuring them that God is capable of turning their situations to better also charged them to always believed in God stressing that God will helped them and change their difficult situations to better.

Said the bishop to them,” I admonishes you not to give up, don’t think your condition is beyond God, just turn a new leaf avoid those things that brought you to prison.God knows you are there,believe that it is only God word that is final in your life, just believe that if God did not say you are nothing nobody has the authority to say you are nothing, remember God cares for you,”

Speaking also during the church service, Mr Anthony Eke the controller of Onitsha correctional facility thanked the archbishop for his benovolence to inmates of the center.while listing some of developmental projects initiated by the archbishop to includes building of a multi million skills acquisition center, renovation of hostels of inmates, introduction of several scholarship schemes for inmates, renovation of recreation facilities for inmates among numerous others.
Saying that the archbishop had set a pace which prosperity will continue remembering,he apealed to other religious leaders, well meaning Nigerians, organizations to emulate the archbishop in helping the poor and less privileged in our society.

It will be recalled that the Onitsha catholic archbishop of Onitsha most Rev.Dr Valeria Maduka Okeke has been consistent in helping the inmates of Onitsha correctional facility and has built several development projects which is helping to improve their welfare.
