The National President of a human rights organization, Human Dignity Restoration Association, HDRA, Rev. Jude Achebe, hinted at his country home, Nteje, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State, that President Mohammadu Buhari’s government is a complete failure due to the way he piloted the affairs of the Nigerian nation for eight years.

Giving the hint while fielding questions from newsmen, the activist reiterated that he started by not appointing his cabinet members who will work with him six months after his swearing-in, and that was the beginning of his failure.

“His leadership was dead on arrival because, after the six months of no cabinet members, he started appointing those he will work with from the North East only, in a circular Nation like Nigeria. A lopsided appointment.

“He does not care about the portfolios one is assigned to, whether it is a square peg in a square hole or not. The most important thing is that you are from the North East zone, irrespective of your educational, professional or age qualification, so long you are from the zone.

“He is a complete failure that I can’t score him any mark. How much is dollar now, cost of living is so high that Nigerians are crying today. Insecurity has taken over the country as a result of bad leadership.

“That is why you have these agitations everywhere. Like in the case of Nnamdi Kanu, he is not asking for the head of Buhari, nobody is asking for the head of Buhari, rather good government so that every tribe will feel belong. Buhari’s Government is not listening to the voice of reason. He is a President of the North East not the entire country.

“That is why some people carry arms, insecurity is all over the place, including the North East. Look at ASUU strike, is it supposed to linger for eight months. These our leaders sometimes we think if they are human beings.

“Because of insecurity investors are not coming to the country. If you create enabling environment investors will come, you don’t invite them. They don’t need to be invited,” he stated.

On Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, he advised him to always interact directly with the people and not through his aides to feel the problems confronting the people.

“Anambra State is one of the toughest states in Africa. Soludo should not be listening to his cabinet members only, but the grassroot. If he believes that through fight he will excel, he got it wrong. Soludo should not feel that he is too big to approach his predecessor, former Governor Willie Obiano, on advice as to how he was able to manage the State,” the activist posited.
