BRT Driver Sentenced to Death for Rape and Murder of Bamise Ayanwola

The Lagos High Court at Tafawa Balewa Square has sentenced BRT driver Andrew Ominikoron to death for the rape and murder of 22-year-old fashion designer Bamise Ayanwola.

In a judgment lasting over two hours, Justice Serifat Sonaike ruled that the Lagos State Government had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt, declaring: “For the death of Oluwabamise Ayanwola, you will be hanged by the neck until you are dead. May God have mercy upon you.”
