Bishop Isizor tasks Christians On Good Works
…Dedicates Holy Family catholic Church Oraukwu
The Catholic Auxilliary Bishop of Onitsha archdiocese His Lordship Dennis Isizor has admonished Christians to continue engaging in good works saying that God’s blessing locates such persons here and hereafter.
He gave the admonition on Sunday during the dedication of Holy family Church Oraukwu in Idemili North built and furnished by Chief Sir. Joseph Ukeji-Chairman, ‘J IEjison Group’.
According to the Catholic prelate,”After confessing your sin, there are scars. Good works will be used to clear the scars. As one engage in more good works, the scarswane”.
“Here is now a pilgrimage till the next few weeks. God is here. Make out time to come with your family and pray to god here. You will go with God’s blessings.
Bishop Isizor thanked God for the life of Chief Ukeji for embarking on such a gigantic project of building a house of worship for God proclaiming God’s blessings on his family.
He also pronounced blessings on the family of Chief Joseph Ezennia who built the parishEucharistic Chapel and Ifechukwu Obiefuna who built the grotto.
The prelate also recognized and blessed the good works of Chief Anthony Okafor, Chief Uchenna Okafor, Chief Joseph Madueke, Chief Julius Umeji and Chief Ejike Obiaju that built the parish parsonage.
Meanwhile, the above mentioned persons who were involved in building one aspect of the Holy Family Catholic church buildings said that God has already rewarded them before that day of dedication.
“God has already rewarded me several foldcompared to what was invested here. I Thank my friend who did not request any amountfor all the terrazzo works at this alter”, said Ukeji.
According to Dedication committee chairman, Chief Anthony Okafor, “I feel excited that finally these church buildings were dedicated today by our lord bishop and that here is proclaimed a pilgrim center.
“I built this from my heart. My desire is that God will grant healing and other petitions of all who come here to pray as the bishop declared”, said Obiefuna.
Moreover The Vice chairman parish council, Engr. Emmanuel Okeakpu remarked that their parish was 2nd outstation and parish to be dedicated in Oraukwu.
“Despite many challenges in procuring this land, today we are the 2ndoutstation and 2nd parish to be dedicating their church building during the time of Rev Fr,. Peter Egwuonwu” saidOkeakpu.
Other dignitaries present include Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke,Secretary to state government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Commisioners for Basic Education and Information& public Enlightenment, Prof Kate Omenugha and C. Don Adinuba respectively and Igwe Dr. Emeka Onuorah of Oraukwu.
