Personnel The Benue State Civil Protection Guard (BSCPG) has detained four individuals pretending to be part of the National Hunters and Forest Security Services. These suspects, who had claimed to be combating insurgents in Maiduguri, Borno State, were arrested in Aliade, Gwer Local Government Area, with the aid of a local vigilante group. The suspects, who were recently deployed to Benue State from Nasarawa, were hired by a Chinese construction company for security duties but were unaware they would be stationed in Benue. The BSCPG seized two pump-action guns and live cartridges from the suspects, and further investigation has led to the discovery that twenty-four other individuals might be involved.
