The All Progressive Congress (APC) Stakeholders in Ayamelum local government area, Anambra state have described leading governorship aspirant, Hon. Azuka Okwuosa as the most credible candidate of the party in November 6 gubernatorial election in the state, reports www.odogwublog.com.
The stakeholders, comprising local government and ward executives of the party, said this while playing host to the APC gubernatorial aspirant and former commissioner for works and transport in the state who toured the local government in preparation of the party’s primary election.
Speaking at the event, a stakeholder in Ayamelum, Mr. Peter Cbuba Emeka expressed full confidence in Hon Okwuosa, especially as the aspirant had worked previously in support of their son, Tony Nwoye.
“Mr Okwuosa is a good man. He supported Mr. Tony Nwoye in 2017 from Omambala and now we are going to reward him for that. He has the capacity to rule Anambra state as governor. From what he has told us, he will touch the relevant areas where people are hungry for attention.
Earlier, Hon. Barr. Emma Udegbunam prayed for the success of the aspirant in the upcoming primary election ,stating that the aspirant’s aspiration for the state is in line with that of the people of the Ayamelum community.
www.odogwublog.com reports also that, a former House of Assembly member, Chief Ebere Obi, urged the people to understand what they have in APC as a ruling party and what they stand to gain when APC takes over the leadership of the party. He said that Anambra had missed a lot because they are not included in the scheme of things.
“What we came to do is to advice the people to make the right choice. We want the people to be agents of the aspirant who is the most credible among the guber candidates.”
Addressing the party stakeholders at the at the town hall, Hon. Azuka Okwuosa said it was only his campaign team that produced the blueprint to salvage Anambra state.
He maintained that among fellow contestants, he is most qualified for the governorship going by his vast political experience and entrepreneurial achievements which according to him is lacking in most of the gubernatorial aspirants in the state.
He noted that being a former local government chairman and a former commissioner for Works and Transport in the state is an advantage for his credentials to become a Governnor of Anambra state.
Okwuosa said one of the biggest problem of Omambala region had been lack of quality road, promising to change the face of roads in the area. He futher said the people have future in his aspirations and urged them to support his aspiration to fix Anambra state.
