Awogu pays familiarity visit to Anumudu, East Niger landlords association, solicits support

The former Council Chairman of Ogbaru LG and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for House of Representatives, Ogbaru Federal constituency in 2023 general election, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu has paid familiarity visit to the landlords Association of Anumudu and East Niger in Okpoko, Ogbaru LGA of Anambra State.

Hon. Awogu was well received by the APGA candidates for State House of Assembly  Ogbaru 1 constituency, Hon. Linus Ezenwama, Ward 6 Councilor, Chief Joseph Nnamani, various Ward Chairmen in Okpoko, Awogu Intervention Group, Okpoko stakeholders and virtually all the Anumudu and East Niger Landlords.

In his opening speech, the  APGA candidate for the State House of Assembly in Ogbaru 1 constituency in the 2023 general election, Hon. Linus Ezenwama in a special way welcomed Hon. Awogu and introduced him to the Landlords as the former Council Chairman of Ogbaru LG and former Senior special Assistance to the former Governor Willie Obiano on political matters.

He further disclosed that Hon. Awogu demonstrated impeccable leadership during his tenure as the Council Chairman, revealing that he was the brain behind Federal Government in registering Anambra State as among the oil producing state in Nigeria.

He also explained to the landlords that Hon. Awogu attracted foreign ecological experts that would fix Okpoko to city standard and urged them to support him and deliver him during the election, stating that he is convinced that Hon. Awogu would be a Messiah to Okpoko in the Green Chamber if he is elected.

In his comments, Hon. Awogu stated that he was impressed by the overwhelmed receiption accorded to him by the Anumudu and East Niger Landlords and ward 6 community.

He disclosed that his mission in their area was a familiarity visit, for him to brainstorm with them on issues bothering them and appealed them to support his House of Representatives ambition.

” Actually, many of you might not known me in person but have been hearing about Awogu. I was the former Ogbaru LG Council Chairman and former Senior Special Assistance to former Governor Willie Obiano on political matters. I can proudly tell you people that I was the only Council Chairman of Ogbaru LG who have remembered Okpoko in so many ways without indigenes and non indigenes sentiments. Before I became the Ogbaru LG Council Chairman, I have been representing former Governor Obiano in critical matters both in Asia and America and I never expected that I would become  the Ogbaru LG Chairman.

He continued saying, ” what I was preparing to contest was House of Representatives for Ogbaru Federal Constituency and I was making consultations on a faithful day when  my phone rang and I was called to come back and  Mann Ogbaru LG as the transition council  Chairman. So, my being the Ogbaru LG Council Chairman was a call to service”

He revealed that he was the architect for the victory of Governor Soludo when he saw wonderful plans he has for Ogbaru LG especially Okpoko, even as he disclosed that the main  challenges of Okpoko is  ecological impediment, informing them that he brought members of the international diplomatic community that would develop Okpoko from being an urban slum to a city state status.

” Therefore, my going to represent Ogbaru Federal Constituency in  Abuja come 2023 by the Grace of God  would be to complement the efforts of Governor Soludo to actualize his plans for Ogbaru LG mostly Okpoko. You people are even lucky enough , the State House Assembly candidate in Ogbaru 1 constituency, Hon. Linus Ezenwama who has a direct link to the Governor. He is capable of building synergy between the State government and Okpoko community” He declared.!

Responding, the Chairman of the landlords association, Mr. Emeka Omile testified that Hon. Awogu is a straight forward politician since he known  him, positing that the love he has on him and Governor Soludo lured him into politics.

He assured him that his visit to their area would not be invein, soliciting him to assist them in security bottle neck, bad roads, poor school system, menace of routing and assist them to obtain certificate of occupancy ( C of O) of their lands.

Also speaking, a community leader, Chief Luice Ikpere urged the landlords to induce their tenants to go and register for permanent voters Card ( PVC) which he said would be the only weapon to deliver Hon. Awogu during the election. ” If you don’t have voters card, you are making unnecessary noise”

Similarly, the ward 6 Councilor, Chief Joseph Nnamani pledged to assist those who have not registered for PVC to meet him when they want to go, just as Hon. Uche Okafor and Chief Domnic Ezebuenyi emphasised profoundly on the Paramount aspects of PVC.
