Awka North is sitting on a ticking time bomb—and that bomb is land. Our land is our wealth, our identity, our inheritance. Yet, instead of guarding it, we are trading it away like cheap merchandise.

Everywhere you look, communities are locked in land disputes. Blood has been spilled, homes destroyed, friendships broken—all because of the scramble for land. The fight for leadership, whether for the position of President General or the Igweship, has become a battlefield, not of service, but of control over land.

The sad truth? Many of our people sell land without a single thought for the future. When the land is gone, where will schools stand? Where will hospitals be built? Where will our children live? We are robbing tomorrow just to eat today.

The buyers are coming in droves. Yet, ask yourself: how many of them sell their lands elsewhere to invest here? The answer is clear. We are losing more than we are gaining.

Awka North must wake up! Land is not just soil—it is destiny. If we don’t protect it, we will have nothing to hand over to our children except regrets and empty promises.

The call is simple:

Stop reckless land sales.

Demand accountability from leaders.

Plan for schools, hospitals, and roads before another plot is sold.

This is not just about land; it is about survival. The future of Awka North depends on the choices we make today. Let us defend our heritage before it slips through our fingers.
