Award Winning Author, Emekwulu Mentors Students on Good Christian Living

In line with his desire to inculcate good morals in the present generation of youths, an award- winning and international best selling author, Paul Chika Emekwulu yesterday mentored the students of Holy Child Secondary School, Isuofia on morals and Christian living.

Having held similar engagements in other schools in the state, Emekwulu was at the Holy Child Secondary School as part of his speaking engagement in motivating new generation of youths.

Emekwulu, who has authored several books including The ‘GPS’ of the Holy Bible, Divisibility of whole numbers made easy, Encountering Jesus, the Altar boy, Getting to know Fibonacci Numbers to mention but a few said one of the important steps in knowing God is to read the word of God adding that if they desire to know God more, they need to read bible more.

He said that the goal of the programme is to get the students excited about the holy bible as well as direct the students to other ways of memorizing the books of the holy book.

Speaking on his new book, ‘ The ‘GPS’ of the Holy Bible, Emekwulu advised the students to use the ‘GPS methodology to study the Holy Bible using mental maps for easy memorization of the 66 books of the Bible and other of their studies.

He decried the habit of excessive attention youths of the present generation give to celebrities and worldly lifestyle instead of paying attention and knowing the significance of the 66 books of the bible.

Emekwulu, an indigene of Ekwulobia further urged the students to use the experiences they have acquired in school to explore knowledge outside the four walls of school as well as solve the problems facing the society.

In an interview, a teacher in the school, Mrs. Nwankwo Catherine Ngozi thanked the author for his role in mentoring the students. She described the mentorship programme as inspiring to the students.

Mrs Nwankwo added that GPS of the Holy Bible is very relevant to students’ Christian life adding that students can now recite the books of the bible knowing the locations which the books of the bible can be found without stress.

Earlier while describing her experience, an SS2 student, Ekesiobi Chikodili said that the students learnt many things that will help their life and career one of which is never to lose hope in life endeavors.

She said that the GPS of the Holy Bible has motivated her to read bible unlike before when such never crossed her mind.

Commending the award- winning author on behalf of the school, Mrs. Jidere Florence said that the seminar was interesting and was beyond her expectation. She said that the school was privileged to have Emekwulu around to talk to their students.

Mrs. Florence who is the school guidance and councillor also assured that students will put into practice those things they have learnt from the author.
