A support group, Youths for Atiku Political Group (YOFA) supporting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has joined the #obedient movement.

In a statement released on Tuesday, YOFA said it has now decided to back Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, hence its name has now changed to Youths for Peter Obi (YOPO).

The group, in its statement, said that it decided to back the LP flag bearer because he and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed,  “are young, diverse, competent, energetic, kind-hearted.”

YOPO insisted that the duo have what it takes to deal decisively with Nigeria’s current issues and challenges.

“Mr. Peter Obi, 61, the candidate of the Labour Party, is and remains our endorsed candidate and will enjoy the free online and offline support of this structure,” the group said.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was on Tuesday seen participating in the Twitter space conducted for the former Anambra governor and businessman, Peter Obi.

A Twitter space was conducted for the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi to come and speak on hot issues concerning the country.

Surprisingly, the former Lagos state governor who recently stated that he does not use social media because it gives him ‘high blood pressure’ was seen participating as a listener amongst the over eight thousand listeners found in the space.
