Professional architects have made a case for the involvement of professionals in the assessment of graduating polytechnic students of architecture in the polytechnics.

The Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter of Nigeria Institute of Architects, NIA, Toku Fiberesima, made the case when he led a delegation of the executive committee of the Rivers State branch of the institute on a visit to the Architecture Department and the Rector of the polytechnic.

Fiberesima said the involvement of the institute in the panel for the assessment of graduating students of the department of architecture was to ensure that graduating students met the standards required of architects.
