Archbishop Ibezim Praises Anambra State Traditional Institution For Encouraging Peace In Communities

The Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has lauded Anambra State Traditional Institution for entrenching peace and stability in their various communities.

Most Reverend Ibezim, who is also the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, stated this at Mbaukwu Community in Awka South Council Area, when he paid a courtesy call on the traditional ruler, Igwe Peter Anugwu.

According to the Most Reverend Ibezim, the visit was aimed at intimating the traditional ruler of the activities lined up for his sixtieth birthday celebration.

He described Igwe Anugwu as a revered traditional ruler and inspirational monarch, who used his wealth of knowledge and experience to contribute to the growth and development of his community.

Responding, Igwe Anugwu thanked God for what he is using Most Reverend Ibezim to do in his ministry and promised that Mbaukwu Community will continue to live in peace and harmony.

He asked the church to keep praying for them more especially, those in positions of authority.

Also speaking, the traditional ruler of Awka Community, Obi Gibson Nwosu, who came to felicitate with his counterpart, Igwe Anugwu said God has used the Archbishop to do wonders and miraculous things in their lives.

Meanwhile, the Archbishop, who unveiled and inspected exhibition stands of students of Renaissance Polytechnic Mbaukwu, encouraged youths to engage selves in skills acquisition to be self-reliant.

He commended all those involved in developing the Polytechnic, noting that Awka Anglican Diocese will continue to invest in human capital development especially the youths.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Cliff Nwanna said they are training the students in character and learning while equipping them with skills that will differentiate them from others.
