Archbishop Ibezim collates 5 Archdeacons , installs 11 Canons
Archbishop, Province of the Niger and Bishop Diocese of Awka ( Anglican Communion), The Most Revd. Alexander Chibuzor Ibezim PhD, JP, will on Sunday collate and install 5 Archdeacons and 11 Canons at the Cathedral Church of St. Faith, Awka.
The Archdeacons to be Collated are:
Revd. Canon Christian Afamefuna Chilotam Chinwuko serving at St. Paul’s Church, Umuokpu- Awka in Awka Archdeaconry.
Revd. Canon Rex Chika Kanu serving at Church of the Holy Spirit, Awka in Awka Archdeaconry.
Revd. Canon Nehemiah Ikechukwu Ugoagu serving at St. Stephen’s Church, Mgbakwu in Mgbakwu Archdeaconry.
Revd. Canon Goodness Benjamin Okechukwu Amechi serving at St. Matthew’s Church, Nibo in Nibo Archdeaconry
Revd. Canon Ekenedilichukwu Wilfred Nwafor serving at St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Ifite-Awka in Awka Archdeaconry.

The Retreatant/Preacher is the Right Reverend Festus Oyetola Sobanke, Bishop , Missionary Diocese of Omu- Aran.
Other highlights of the service will include the presentation of the Archdeacons- designate and Canons – Elect, examination, administration of Oaths by the legal officers, the decoration of the vice presidents by the wife of the Archbishops/ Diocesan Bishop, special Anthems and thanksgiving.
According to Clerical Synod secretary, Ven Clement Mgbemena informed that the event will be on 1st November, 2020 known as All Saints Day.
