In a show of grassroots conviction and civic pride, the Anambra Patriots for Soludo (APS) have thrown their weight behind Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, endorsing him for a second term in office.
The endorsement rally, held at the International Convention Center (ICC), Awka, wasn’t just another political gathering—it was a declaration of faith in leadership that delivers. APS State Chairman, Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi, made it clear: the group is not just supporting Soludo—they’re mobilizing for a landslide come November 8.
“Soludo is not just a governor. He’s a visionary. He’s redefined governance in Anambra,” Enekwechi declared.
Arch. Okey Ezeobi, Convener of APS, echoed the sentiment, stating that the endorsement was rooted in the belief that “the reward for hard work is more work.” According to him, Soludo’s first three years have eclipsed the performance of past administrations—marked by sweeping infrastructure upgrades, youth empowerment, and targeted social interventions.
The rally also spotlighted voices from the margins. Comrade Ugochukwu Okeke, State Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), praised the governor’s inclusive policies. Under Soludo’s watch, over 150 persons with disabilities have been recruited into the state civil service a first in Anambra’s history.
Responding to the endorsement, Governor Soludo was visibly moved. He described the campaign as “a movement owned by the people,” noting that groups have offered to fund his candidacy, bestow chieftaincy titles, and donate millions—all unsolicited.
“I’m humbled. This is not politics as usual. This is a covenant of service,” Soludo said.
“If re-elected, I promise you—Anambra will be unrecognizable in the best way possible.”
With the November polls drawing near, the message from APS is clear: Soludo has earned the people’s trust, and they’re ready to renew the mandate.
