APGA Stakeholders laud Idemili South Chairman as She marks One Year In Office

Several All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Stakeholders and Community Leaders have lauded the Idemili South Local Government Area(ISLGA), Chairman, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) as she marked her one year in office and reels out her scorecard.
Presenting her address at the ISLGA Secretariat hall Ojoto, Mrs Amaka Obi after eulogizing the achievements of the APGA led State government appreciated God and Governor Chukwuma Soludo for giving her such opportunity to serve the people of Idemili South.
After enumerating her core and numerous achievements in the past one year, Mrs Obi solicited for more support from Idemili South stakeholders to take the council area to the next level of development.
The Chairman acknowledged she was able to achieve more because she humbly receives advice from the traditional rulers, PGs, Community Women leaders, and other community stakeholders at the grassroots through series of interactive meetings with them to ascertain exactly what each community needs.
Anambra State APGA Chairman, Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye said:” Hon. Amaka Obi is the only woman among the Transition Committee Chairmen in the 21 Local Government Area and scored her as the best. She is the only one celebrating one year in office because she has done very well. I urge her counterparts in other LGAs to emulate her giant strides”.
Also, Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU )President, Barr Titus Akpudo lauded Hon. Amaka Obi stating that Hon. Amaka Obi’s achievements was outstanding. Akpudo observed that the synergy between the LG boss and the Town Unions Presidents General,Community Women Leaders and Security Agencies contributed to her success urging people of Idemili to continue to support Iyom Idemili.
According to Anambra State House of Assembly Member for Idemili South, Barrister Ebuka Igwe(Ugosinachi), Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi’s relentless efforts, astute decision making, tireless drive, visionary approach and initiatives have undoubtedly contributed to the betterment of our LGA and improved the quality of lives of umu Idemili.
Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji, Chief Obichukwu Ifeanyi(Akanenyeife), Former Commissioner for Information, Chief Joe-Martims Uzodike, PG of Alor, Chief Emma Ojukwu(Amuluonyenego), Idemili North HOA member, Hon Kingsley Udemezue, Chief Ifeanyi Nweke(Ozonkata Alor) after pledging their support all thanked God for Hon. Amaka Obi, a woman of substance saying that she has done more than most of her predecessors.
Igwe Gerald Mbamalu of Ojoto and Igwe Mac-Anthony Okonkwo of Alor blessed the ISLGA Chairman saying that although she is a woman, she has remained the outstanding Transition Committee Chairman.
Meanwhile the ISLGA Secretary, Mr Evaristus Ofido described Mrs Obi as a visioner, team player and hard workaholic.”With Iyom Idemili noone sleeps. Everyone has to be on his or her toes to make sure the people get their democracy dividends”.
The ISLGA Deputy Chairman, Hon Engr Smart Ebuka urged umu Idemili to continue to support the APGA led government both at the State and LG levels to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy enabled by Prof Soludo and the Amazon Iyom Idemili respectively.
Highlights of the anniversary include electronic rendition of the detailed achievements of Mrs Obi, Presentation of Standing Picture flex by the ISLGA APGA excos led by Chief Kizito Nwakibeya, Presentation of Industrial fans by Oba Youths led by Hon Chibueze and Cutting of the anniversary cake.
