While in Abuja, the leadership of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) paid a courtesy visit to the Registrar-General/CEO of the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN), Mr. Henry Ifeanyi Mbadiwe, to explore areas of collaboration between both institutions.

The engagement focused on strengthening the project management capacity of ANSACA staff and improving the planning, implementation, monitoring and sustainability of programmes being undertaken by the agency.

ANSACA coordinates several initiatives, including community outreaches, HIV prevention and testing, partner-supported interventions, research and capacity-building programmes. The successful delivery of these projects requires effective planning, budgeting, monitoring, risk management and evaluation.

Discussions therefore centred on opportunities for professional training and certification of ANSACA staff in project management, improved project monitoring and reporting systems, effective resource and stakeholder management, as well as capacity building in proposal development, donor-funded project management and programme sustainability.

The meeting was described as productive, with both sides expressing interest in exploring a structured partnership that would strengthen ANSACA’s institutional capacity and enhance the delivery of quality services to the people of Anambra State.
