ANSACA Boss Commends Anyansi Family for Sponsoring Free HIV/Hepatitis/TB/ BP Screening at Abagana

The Executive Director of Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA),Dr Nkem Okeke has commended Anyansi Family, President General of Abagana Hon Sir Linus Okafor for partnering with ANSACA to take free HIV testing, hepatitis screening, TB screening and other preventive health services directly to residents of Abagana, Njikoka LGA.

The two-day outreach, held on September 11 and 12, 2026, at Amaenye Village Hall and the Abagana Welfare Union Secretariat, provided residents with free HIV testing and counselling, hepatitis screening, TB symptom screening, blood pressure checks and health education.

According to Dr Nkem Okeke, last weekend, our community outreach train moved to Abagana, Njikoka LGA, where ANSACA, in collaboration with the Anyansi Family, provided free HIV testing and counselling, hepatitis screening, TB screening, blood pressure checks and health education to residents.

“I sincerely appreciate Mr Nonso Anyansi and the Anyansi Family for supporting this intervention, as well as the President General of Abagana Welfare Union, Hon. Sir Linus Okafor (Okunwa), and the entire Abagana community for the warm reception and impressive turnout.

“At ANSACA, we remain committed to taking HIV prevention, testing and other essential health services directly to our communities. I also appreciate Mr Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, for providing the leadership and enabling environment for us to continue reaching Ndi Anambra.

“The Abagana outreach is part of our commitment to taking HIV prevention, testing, early detection, health education and linkage to care directly to communities across Anambra State.

Moreso, President General of the Abagana Welfare Union, Hon. Sir Linus Okafor (Okunwa), described the outreach as a welcome development and commended ANSACA and the Anyansi Family for bringing essential health services closer to the people.

He particularly appreciated Mr Nonso Anyansi for facilitating the intervention and encouraged other well-meaning individuals and families to support initiatives that improve the health and welfare of their communities.
