This overjoyed mother is Mrs. Rosemary Chikodili Okeke, from Igboukwu, Aguata Local Government Area. She just delivered her triplet through Caesarean Section (CS) at the General Hospital, Ekwulobia.

Ordinarily, this poor woman would have been living with the anxiety of bearing the heavy costs of such a complex child delivery process, which runs into hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions.

But she won’t be paying a kobo, all thanks to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s FREE Antenatal care and delivery services currently available in public health facilities in Anambra state.

Note that since the model was introduced last year, infant and maternal deaths have been cut down to near zero in the state.
