Annulment of prof.Odoh’s appointment is not in the interest of education in Nigeria -bishop Nwankwo
The news of the appointment of prof.Benard Odoh was received with ecstasy and utmost delight, those who knows he’s a rare gem that is capable of initiating the needed transformation that is required in the institution as his wealth of experience and transparency will be pivotal for him to navigate through and make the institution the pride of the nation.
The news of the annulment of Odoh’s appointment sounded like a bad joke that was delivered in the middle of a funeral sermon as it has magnetised wildspread condensation and criticism, many felt dismayed and saw it as offensive and an affront to his esteemed and highly venerated status and personality. The president of Igbo Ancient kingdom Cultural Association, bishop Samuel Donald Nwankwo also censured the annulment of the appointment, describing it as awkward and bizarre.
He stated that whatsoever might have been the issue should have been done discreetly, not derogating him by making the news public “the news is disheartening,I believe it should have been handled with utmost diplomacy and should not have been made public,I want to urge the federal government and the management of UNIZIK to settle the issue so that his appointment can be valid again because he’s a rare gem that is destined to take the institution to the zenith,I know that it’s a little misapprehension between the school and the federal government and I know that it can be resolved amicably”
