Anambra’s Vehicle Inspection Department Conducts May’s First Test

The Ministry of Transport’s Vehicle Inspection Service Department has successfully conducted its first driving test for the month of May.

Engr. Offorzor Aburi Francis, head of the driving license unit, highlighted the significance of this examination as part of the department’s statutory responsibilities.

Emphasizing the importance of prior driving school education, he underscored that successful applicants demonstrate their driving skills and undergo electronic vehicle checks, paving the way for driver certification and license issuance.

Engr Francis reiterated that unsuccessful applicants would have the opportunity to retake the test, ensuring that only competent drivers hit the road.

Meanwhile, Anambra Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer Engr. Macdonald Achuam condemned shortcut-taking among drivers, emphasizing its illegality and legal consequences. He stressed the indispensable role of comprehensive driving school education and testing.

It’s noteworthy that the Vehicle Inspection Service Department of the Ministry of Transport in Anambra State conducts these vital tests twice a week, reinforcing the commitment to safer roads and competent drivers.A total of 88 applicants participated in the driving test across Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi Vehicle Inspection Service Zonal Offices respectively while 65 applicants were successful and due for driving license.
