#AnambraDecides: APGA Wins Majority In House Of Assembly

0

The majority of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates in the just concluded March 28 house of assembly election in Anambra withstood Peter Obi’s nationwide wave.

Ahead of the election, APGA was under serious threat due to the performance of Obi’s Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election. Odogwublog.com recalls that Obi’s LP won the state in a landslide.

Hence, the popularity of the former Anambra state governor was expected to win over the state house of assembly for the Labour Party since there was no governorship election in the state this year.

However, the Obis’s wave didn’t halt all APGA’s candidates as the party which is currently in power won more seats in the state’s house of assembly than any other party.
