Anambra TOAN boss charges Keke operators not to join rampaging hoodlums
Comrade Sylvester Obiora, the chairman of Tricycles Owners Association of Nigerria (TOAN ), umbrella body of Keke operators in Anambra State, has lauded his members for conducting themselves well during the #End SARS protest.
Comrade Obiora however warned that keke drivers should never be part of the protesters, who have resorted to arson and looting of public and private property.
He said this was because the ENDSARS protest has been hijacked and taken over by miscreants and hoodlums, who abandoned the original intention of the protest.
He said ” Keke people are respected and responsible people who will not engage in any wanton destruction of lives and properties”
He therefore enjoined the members to go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation since they are within the cinfines of the law and ensure they remain safe.
He also commended the amiable Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and the Commissioner for Transport Chief Afam Mbanefo for their professionalism in handling the security situation of the State especially where no single records that any protestor were injured or killed.
