Anambra State to boost tourism sector

The Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism Comrade Don Onyenji said he has laid the foundation for the advancement of his ministry.

Comrade Onyenji hinted this while responding to questions from journalists on the hundred days of Governor Soludo’s in office.

He said plans are on the way to transform Tulip Hotel Agulu into a world class Tourist center.

He also said that he hosted team from the Federal Ministry of information and culture who came to Ogbunike cave to get first hand information on how to develop the site to see if it could be enlisted into the UNICEF world heritage site.

The Commissioner further said steps are on to capture all the hotels in their data base for easy monitoring of activities of various hotels in the state, noting that any hotel that falls below standard would be sanctioned.

Comrade Onyenji expressed confidence that his ministry would contribute towards the achievement of Governor Soludo’s agenda of making Anambra State a liveable mega city.

He described governor Chukwuma Soludo as a world class figure who has impacted on the Nigerian economy while he was the central bank governor.
