The Anambra State Government has provided further clarification on the indefinite suspension of graduation ceremonies across schools in the state, reaffirming that the policy is aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents and guardians.

The directive applies to all Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary Schools, both public and private, covering activities such as graduation, passing-out, and crossover ceremonies.

The only exception is Senior Secondary School (SS3) graduation, which remains optional. Where such ceremonies are held, no student or parent should be compelled to pay any levy or financial contribution.
School proprietors and administrators are urged to comply fully with the directive, as violations may attract serious sanctions, including the closure of defaulting schools.
