Anambra: Qorban Group Collaborates With ASMATA On Free Medicare To Traders

In their bid to see that the traders are healthy, the state government through the leaders of Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association(ASMATA) Chief Evaristus Ubah, Special Adviser (SPAD) to the Governor on Trade and Markets, Chief Humphrey Anuna, President General, PG have organised free medicare on the traders.
The free medical treatment started on the 16th April to end on 8 May, with the 7 zones of the state, which they started with Aguata zone, Awka, Idemili, now is Ogbaru zone.
According to Amb.Ezeilo Franklin, the CEO of the Qoran group, that the project is going to end next week Tuesday with Onitsha zone.
“Qoban is a Jewish name which means Dedicated Unto God, is an international enforcement that is into education and health consultancy.
He said and I quote” According to World Health Organization (WHO), the demand for health which was created last month, we thought it wise that a healthy trader is a wealthy trader and at the same time, a reproductive trader, and Anambra State being that they derive revenue from the markets, you found out that a lot of traders are going down by sickness or dropping by death.
“At the end of the day, you found out that nothing is being done, so we thought that this project and the ASMATA reaching out to markets which is the grassroot will touch traders and their health, they would be able to pay their taxes and other levies being levelled on them by the government which metamorphosed to social developments in the state.
“So far so good, I am impressed by the turn up of traders, but the highest was Idemili zone with over more than 300 attended, we are looking forward that Ogbaru zone will top by 10 in number.
” We concentrated on vital signs, prostrate, temperature, blood pressure, sugar, we just added malaria because of working space, we cannot do other necessary parameter laboratories.
“I advice that their health is their wealth,and wealth is wealth which they pursue day and night. It is only when they undergo this type of test that they will know that what is there that they do not know has been there even before the test.
Speaking, the Chairman of Ogbaru Main Market, (Relief market) Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu expressed satisfaction for the project saying that”It is good to give leadership to whoever that wants it, he will like to perform well than others because he asked for it.
” Chief Anuna demanded for it, that is why he has performed within 2 years while Chief Uba is just I year plus in office, they are doing well, that is to show that they want it.
“To my side, I came to this office not that I want it but what past leaderships of this market was doing was an eyesore to me, so I deemed it necessary to be here because there is something good to do for the government.
” Traders are responding, everybody is a partaker, we made the announcement of this free medical treatment last week during our weekly market prayer, I am very happy not only because it is done in my market for Ogbaru zone but as long as it is in Ogbaru zone.
